Hagerstown Bonanza Extravaganza 2012 Pre-Party

The Hagerstown Bonanza Extravaganza is a two-day event held every year on Mother’s Day weekend, featuring live music, lots of food, bottomless beer and soda mugs, games, giveaways and over $825,000 in raffle prizes!

On Saturday night, May 5 there will be the biggest Pre-Bonanza Extravaganza Party of all at Break Away II Sports Lounge. There will be music throughout the night presented by the ever popular, crowd pleasing, area favorite “Hicktown”! There will be lots of games and door prises. There will be NINE (9) $100 tickets and VIP tickets to be had. Don’t miss it! Come out and support a great cause!

At the Hagerstown Bonanza Extravaganza main event the raffle prizes include eight (8) Chevy cars and trucks, seven (7) Harley Davidson motorcycles, campers, 4-wheelers and cash prizes of $1,000 and up! One lucky person will walk away with the Grand Prize of $100,000! Sponsored by the Hagerstown Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 1605 Foundation, Inc., Bonanza Extravaganza 2012 is a weekend you won’t want to miss!

The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) is the labor organization working to protect professional fire fighters across the United States and Canada. The 71 professional fire fighters of Hagerstown make up the IAFF Local 1605. In 2005, the members of IAFF Local 1605 formed a non-profit philanthropic Foundation.

The IAFF Local 1605 Foundation, Inc. is a registered non-profit (501(c)3) and charged with raising money to fund health and welfare improvements for residents of the Greater Hagerstown area. In the first six years of operation the Foundation has given over $500,000 to local non-profits including a $40,000 donation to Children’s Village and a $60,000 van used by a non-profit organization to transport patients to and from Cancer treatments in the area.

Our members live and work in Hagerstown and the surrounding communities. We put our lives on the line every day protecting the lives and the livelihoods of our fellow residents. This love for our community does not stop when we remove our uniform. We proudly volunteer thousands of hours preparing for and holding the Bonanza Extravaganza in May and our annual Variety Show in December. Our Honor Guard travels the four-state region dutifully serving at funerals and other services. Our members are active in the state legislature defending public safety initiatives.

Mike Massey – World Famous Trick Shot Master

Mike Massey, born April 9, 1947,is an American professional pool player, best known as a trick shot artist since the late 1970s, and has given substantial visibility to the sport by traveling the globe to perform exhibitions and compete in a variety of disciplines.

Mike Massey has won professional national and international tournaments in trick shot competition, nine-ball, eight-ball, straight pool, and one-pocket, but has been even more influential in the sport as an accomplished instructor, consultant and fund raiser.

From 1989 to 1991 he served as a contributing editor for The Snap Magazine. Mike Massey has been nicknamed "TenneseeTarzan", but lives in Park City, Utah. Massey was inducted into the Billiard Congress of America’s Hall of Fame on April 7, 2005. For 2007, he was ranked #8 in Pool & Billiard Magazine’s "Fans’ Top 20 Favorite Players" poll.

Mike Massey is the one of the best known and most accomplished trick shot artist in the game of pool. He has been consistently voted number one by his peers for over 20 years, and was voted Best in the History of the Game by Billiards Digest. He has performed exhibitions in 50 states and over 25 countries. Mike currently holds the title of World Artistic Pool Champion and just recently won ESPN’s Trick Shot Magic Championship
2004.

Mike Massey has performed exhibitions in Las Vegas at Caesar’s Palace, The Mirage, Imperial Palace, The Sahara, Bally’s, The Riviera, and the Sands convention center. He has also performed at Foxwood Casino in Connecticut, Caesar’s Tahoe, Sands Reno, Fitzgerald’s in Mississippi, Isle of Capri in Louisiana, plus casinos in Bregentz, Austria and Sun City, South Africa.
