Charm City Devils Love Their Music
The Charm City Devils know all too well that in an industry filled with trends, fads, fashions, and flash-in-the-pan stories of “here today, gone tomorrow” generic flavors of the month, the one thing that remains constant is the need and love for pure, classic, hard rock and roll.
John Allen, vocalist, songwriter and founding member of Baltimore’s Charm City Devils, knows this. Rock and roll has been his passion since childhood. It has taken him into clubs, studios, tour buses, arenas, and around the world, as a drummer in his own bands and now as the frontman for Charm City Devils, who is set to release their debut album, appropriately titled Let’s Rock-N-Roll on Eleven Seven Music, helmed by label President Nikki Sixx

Charm City Devils Special Mix
“When I first heard Charm City Devils, my initial thought, along with everyone at Eleven Seven, was this is a real rock band! When I listen to their music I hear elements of credible bands like Aerosmith and I feel AC/DC. I like the fact that they’re from Baltimore and the way they relate the working mans experience. They’re not from New York or LA. You don’t hear many bands from Baltimore and these guys carry on tradition with their own relevant and modern sound with classic riffs,” said Sixx.
Selected as Sixx’s first signing to the label, it’s obvious that there’s something special about Charm City Devils. With their roots firmly planted in the blues, the band combines the best, loudest and most raw elements of hard rock, with a touch of punk spirit thrown into the mix. Recording primarily in Allen’s home studio, Let’s Rock-N-Roll retains what he calls “a very high-energy, garage-y type of vibe.”
By the same token, as much as the Charm City Devils rock out on the title track and songs like “True Love” and “Burn Baby Burn,” there is also a poignant side in autobiographical songs like “Almost Home.” Says Allen, “This album comes from an emotional level. The lyrics are very honest; they’re pieces of my life, real things. Some are more sensitive and some deal with heavy issues, but they are balanced out by the fun, energetic songs that bring back some of that 1980s heyday of hard rock that audiences are longing for.”
Already established as a recording/touring artist and songwriter, and as the drummer for SR-71, Allen planted the seeds that would become Charm City Devils in his basement studio. “I didn’t have much gear,” he recalls, “just good mics and real good preamps. But sometimes you write something and you know you have it, and that’s what happened with ‘Burn Baby Burn,’ which was the first song I wrote for this band. That song was a catalyst for me to become a singer. I felt good about my writing and my voice and decided to give it a go. The track on the CD is actually the rough mix. I liked the raw, garage sound of it and we kept that.”
Allen says that finding the right musicians to become Charm City Devils was easy. “I wanted guys who could play, first and foremost, who were seasoned but not too jaded,” he explains. “I wanted guys who were experienced but still hungry and could maintain the playing level that I’m comfortable with. The first guys I thought of were local Baltimore musicians Vic, Anthony, Nick and Jason. I knew that their playing would complement the songs I had written, that they would ‘get it’ and know where I was coming from.”
Charm City Devils with Eleven Seven Music
“Getting it” is what led Allen and his bandmates to Eleven Seven Music. With “Let’s Rock-N-Roll” taking off as a hit single and top add on Baltimore radio stations, it didn’t take long for the label, which was the #1 Independent Rock Label of 2008, to add the group to its roster, alongside Mötley Crüe, Sixx: A.M., Buckcherry, Trapt, Drowning Pool and more. “I’m a control freak,” Allen admits, “and anytime you turn your music, image and everything over to an outside entity, you worry. But I know that Eleven Seven understands who we are and what we do. We’re a perfect fit because our genre of music is their forte; they know how to bridge hard rock and the new generation of fans.”
That generation, he says, is hungry for the music that Charm City Devils has to offer. “I truly believe that raw emotion and honesty transcend all trends, and that if music has that classic kind of sound, it will have longevity,” he states. “That’s our goal: to transcend the times and not compromise the integrity of what we do.”
In support of their debut release from Eleven Seven Music, Charm City Devils will be touring regionally in 2009 and their music can be heard at www.myspace.com/charmcitydevils.

Adrian Blitzer
Adrian Blitzer is Nu Metal
Shermansdale-based Adrian Blitzer stitches together bands like Staind, Linkin Park, Disturbed, and Drowning Pool to form a Frankenstein monster of aggressive modern rock. These 105.7 The X poster boys have developed a grisly musical catalog that will give you a black eye, steal your lunch money, and knock up your sister. "We describe our music as having the melody of Creed, but the intensity of Godsmack," says vocalist Andy Smith, citing influences such as Korn, Deftones, and Tool. Adrian Blitzer’s live set is peppered with cover tunes straight from the hard rock Top 200 charts, including songs by Disturbed, Saliva, Nickelback, and Papa Roach.
The Adrian Blitzer Show
"The Adrian Blitzer live show is full of hills and valleys," says Smith. "There are very high, intense moments and there are also low, calm points." Adrian Blitzer began as a basement jam in July 1999 involving Smith, guitarist Kevin Nelson, and drummer Jeremy Kline. "Kevin then realized that he knew of two brothers (Brian and Brandon Finney) that could fill the void for where a bass guitar and rhythm guitar should be," Smith explains. "We all came together, fit perfectly, and the rest is history."
Adrian Blitzer at Break Away II
Since that time, Adrian Blitzer has released their debut album, Foaming at the Mouth, performed at venues throughout Central Pa., and even managed to snag some air time on 105.7 The X. "To me, our career highlight was being played on the radio," Smith says. "There is nothing that gives you more of that sense of accomplishment than hearing your name and original music on the radio." The band will head back into the studio this month to begin work on the next album.

Love Hate Thing Music
Since the alternative rock movement Adult Oriented Rock music has been hard to come by. Enter Love Hate Thing, a rock group centered on blistering guitar solos, arena rock performances, thunderous foundations, & melodic vocals. Most rock music today is branded and given the Saturday morning cartoon lunchbox treatment. Love Hate Thing gives a classic vibe with a modern edge and fresh sound.

Love Hate Thing is set apart from other acts of today by bringing back the strong voice of rock present in every generation since the 1950′s.
About Love Hate Thing
LOVEHATETHING hailing from Greencastle, Pennsylvania, was formed in January 2009, by Sean Clever, Ryan Eshelman, and Matt Cole. When these three musicians finally came together a driving riff rock sound was instantly created.
Sean and Matt both (formally of Josa Step) have been playing music together for over 15 years. They have recorded several past albums, been signed to an indie label and played many shows at venues such as the Xocatoma Music festival, The Chameleon Club, The Vault, Rams Head Live, and too many more to mention.
Sean’s guitar sound will be one that you will not easily forget, coupled with his lyrical genius. Add Matt’s explosive drumming, and a sound is created that will keep you rocking from beginning to end. Now add Ryan (formally of Marsiglia) to the mix with his driving bass lines, and a voice that has been referred to as, “Eshleman’s voice blends with the band’s musicianship similar to modern rockers Incubus and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
For a while they travelled throughout the Tristate taking advantage of every opportunity available to get in front of eager listeners. Shortly there after, along with their friend Jarred Cannon (of Hierosonic) at the helm as the engineer, the band recorded at Soundmine Studio in East Stroudsburg, PA. The band finished a full length 10 song Rock ‘N’ Roll Monster titled, “The Disco Killer,” in just 8 days. The album was released, and digitally distributed world wide on itunes.com, amazon.com, cdbaby.com, and digstation.com. It is also in regular rotation on WRZO 102.9 The Razor and has since been put into rotation on several online radio stations. In July of 2010 the band was selected as one of eight finalists in the nationwide Reprise Rivalry Competition sponsored by sonic bids.com. LOVEHATETHING also maintained a 5 star rating on garage band.com. Everyone who hears, “The Disco Killer”, seems to agree that there is a very bright future ahead for these original, aspiring and inspiring musicians.
LOVEHATETHING LIVE! As an attendant of a live show, one could expect to sit comfortably in their seat sipping beverages, and socializing with other onlookers. However, as an attendant at a LOVEHATETHING show, there will be no sitting, sipping, or socializing!!! There is only a flurry of Rock ‘N’ Roll fury characterized by raging guitars, methodic rhythmic , and melodic vocals with a harmonic infusion.
LOVEHATETHING has an impressive array of endeavors for the latter part of 2010. Inspired by the deployment of their manager, Eric Shields, to serve in Iraq, the band is orchestrating a benefit for soldiers serving their country abroad. Groundwork for the benefit is coming together and it is expected to be in place by October 2010. Filming of 2 music videos are also in the works and will be released before the New Year. The band is currently writing the next album and is expanding its Live Showcases to neighboring regions yet this year!

Rehab Band
Rehab Band Concert Announcement
The Rehab Band
The Rehab Band! It is all in name, but in fact, the name is relevant to the original members as they met in a rehab facility overcoming addictions to drugs and alcohol. It was here their love of music resonated and they became known quickly as the southern hip-hoppers taking Georgia by storm. In September 2010, these warriors released Welcome Home on Universal Republic. No one can explain that feeling better than this group of guys that have traveled the road of highs and lows that have made them the ‘brothers’ they have become today.
The Birth of the Rehab Band
Around a decade ago, three Georgia boys — Danny Alexander, aka, Danny Boone and a few others formed the Rehab Band. Anchored by their influence of all things hip-hop, from Run DMC and NWA to a Tribe Called Quest and more, they set out on their own musical journey taking their first release “To Whom It May Consume” straight to the streets to sell to their newly garnered hard core fans.
Soon after this release Epic Records caught on and signed the group as one of the founders entered a long term rehab. “Southern Discomfort” was released sans Steaknife, but the Rehab Band didn’t miss a beat with the melodic flavor and hard core rap styling of Danny Boone. After a strong US tour with such acts as Linkin Park, and many units sold, a new direction set forth.
Due to the ubiquitous “creative differences” stance, the Rehab band broke up. After writing and recording many songs on his own, lead singer Danny Boone bought the Rehab Band trademark and set out to revamp the group. Boone made additions to that are still going strong today with Hano Leathers on bass, Mike Hartnett on lead guitar, Fazel Syed, aka Foz on rhythm guitar and Christopher Hood on drums. With some guidance of producer Billy Hume and mix master Phil Tan, the Rehab band released “Graffiti the World” independently and toured extensively for nearly three years in an attempt to rebuild the name. During this tour, Demun Jones, DJ Chris Crisis and Lamar Williams joined the REHAB machine.
In 2008, Universal Records signed the Rehab Band and immediately re-released “Graffiti the World” with a few new songs and supporting a non-stop tour and date with with kindred spirits, Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker. Adding collaborations with Bone Crusher and the legendary Hank Williams, Jr. provided a truly eclectic flavor to the disc and later resulted in a CMT Music Awards nomination for Wide Open Country Video of the Year for the multi-platinum selling single “The Bartender Song,” as well as a spot on Rolling Stone magazine’s “Hot List.”
Rehab Band Music Success
With the September release of Welcome Home, the Rehab band works with producers Billy Hume and Dallas Austin. The release is full of well-crafted tunes by the group and offers a nice slice of southern rock, country and the staple hip-hop that inspired the group. In today’s blurred genre game, the Rehab Band fits the mold perfectly. With over 2 million downloads and over 300,000 units moved over the past few years, Welcome Home is poised to fit onto anyone’s playlist. Mix it up with Rehab the band, they have and it is a winner
