Taproot is a four-piece rock group from Ann Arbor, Michigan. They are most known for their hit single “Poem” (#5 most played rock track in 2002), as well as a number of other singles from 2000 to the present.

Pre-formationBack in the mid 90′s, a band called Cymonic Drive featured Dan (now in the band Madhops)[citation needed] on bass and Dennis AKA D-hauz (now ex-20 Dead Flower Children)[citation needed] on vocals. While another band called Skumbag[citation needed] featured Steve (now of Taproot) on drums and Mike (now of Taproot) on guitar. One day these bands played a gig together and they both took an interest in each others’ band. After a few conversations, the 4 members dissolved their current bands and got together to form the first incarnation of a band we now know as Taproot. The line-up then featured D-hauz on vocals, Mike on guitar, Dan on bass and Steve on drums.

Taproot’s first song was “Coma 99″ which later went on to become a 20 Dead Flower Children song in a different version. Things went well at the start but the band’s line-up only lasted about 3–4 months when it was cut short by D-hauz leaving the band to join 20 Dead Flower Children after their original singer left the band. With no singer to front the band Dan left shortly after and formed Madhops. Taproot’s future wasn’t looking too bright until Steve stepped out from behind the drumkit and attempted the vocal duties, it turned out that Steve could sing quite well which brought Dan back into the fold to lay down the bass on some demo tracks (one of which included the song from Taproot’s debut album, …Something More Than Nothing, called “Negative Rein4sment”, in which Dan can also be heard busting a freestyle on). The new band configuration worked out well but Dan was well into Madhops and returned to them leaving Steve and Mike to search out a few new musicians to take their place. They first found Phil, their current bass player, before finding J-rod, their current drummer, which worked well and is now their current line-up.

The beginnings (1998–1999)In 1997, Taproot sent their demo to Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst. Impressed with their material, he offered to get them a recording contract through Interscope Records. However, after extended negotiations, Taproot looked elsewhere, where they finally landed a lucrative record deal with Atlantic Records. Durst heavily cursed the band on vocalist Stephen Richards’ answering machine. He also put some blame on System of a Down, who assisted Taproot in securing the Atlantic deal. In retaliation, Durst also kicked System of a Down off the 1999 Family Values Tour. Taproot later went on to independently release three albums: …Something More Than Nothing (1998), Mentobe (1998) and Upon Us (1999).

Gift/Welcome (2000–2004)The band released their debut album Gift on June 27, 2000. With the album’s lead single “Again & Again” gaining heavy exposure through MTV2, the band’s mainstream rise gained momentum.

With the help of Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack, Taproot landed a spot on the second stage of the 2000 and 2001 Ozzfest tour.

After spending seven months in Los Angeles, the band released their second album Welcome on October 15, 2002. Considered to be a more melodic effort, the album debuted at #17 on the Billboard 200, selling over 51,000 copies in its first week of release. Much of this was due to the success of the album’s first single, “Poem”, which shot to #5 on the Mainstream Rock charts. The album’s second single, “Mine”, followed with more moderate success. Welcome is Taproot’s most successful album to date, almost achieving gold status, with approximately 475,000 copies sold.

After touring across the country on Disturbed’s Music as a Weapon Tour, as well as a European tour, the band took a two-year break.

Blue-Sky Research (2005–2006)Returning from their break, the band released their third major album Blue-Sky Research on August 16, 2005. Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins frontman) assisted in songwriting on the album, which was produced by Toby Wright. It debuted at #33 on the Billboard 200, with approximately 28,000 first week sales. The band’s single “Calling” (written with Jonah Matranga, who wrote the bulk of the lyric and melody thinking of Def Leppard) was used by WWE as the theme song for the 2005 pay-per-view “Unforgiven.”

The band headlined a major tour with Evans Blue and From Satellite to promote its release. Prior to the headline tour, Taproot acted as direct support to Chevelle on their tour alongside 30 Seconds to Mars. They also participated in the Fall Brawl Tour, which featured Staind and P.O.D. as headliners, and is notable for taking the then-unknown Flyleaf along as the opening act for the three bands.

On May 23, 2006, it was reported that Taproot had parted ways with Atlantic Records, after disappointing sales of Blue-Sky Research.[9] At the time, the album had sold 112,000 copies since its release. On June 13, 2006, drummer Jarrod Montague, via Taproot’s MySpace blog, confirmed the news.

Our Long Road Home (2008–2009)On March 5, 2007, the band confirmed that they were in the process of recording their new album, Our Long Road Home, with producer Tim Patalan.

On March 2, 2008, the band released a song from Our Long Road Home entitled “You’re Not Home Tonight” on their website. The song received airtime on XM Satellite Radio, Squizz 48 Indicent Exposure with Grant Random Sirius Satellite Radio on Octane.

A teaser trailer for Our Long Road Home was added to the Taproot YouTube page on April 28, 2008. At the end of the video, it was stated that the album would be released on August 5, 2008.

According to the Taproot website, the band decided to forgo signing to a major label. Their new album Our Long Road Home would be released independently through their management firm Velvet Hammer Music in a 50/50 partnership with the band themselves. Distribution was handled with Sony-owned RED Distribution. Our Long Road Home was released on September 16, 2008. The disc was distributed in a cardboard sleeve and shipped to all major outlets.

Just over a week after the album’s release, it was announced that long-time drummer Jarrod Montague would be leaving the band and replaced by Nick Fredell. The band released a statement regarding the change in lineup:

“After 10 years of touring, our drummer and good friend Jarrod will be sitting out this cycle and we will be replacing him with our long time friend Nick Fredell. We’ll miss Jarrod’s presence out on the road, but Nick has fit in perfectly and we’re excited for all of our fans to meet him. Jarrod’s still very much a part of our family, so you’ll be seeing him in press and the ‘Wherever I Stand’ video which is out now on Youtube…”

In spring 2009, Taproot went on the road with Dear Enemy and Adakain for the Take It! tour. Later that year, they co-headlined a U.S. tour with Cold, in addition to releasing the following statement: “Taproot has a few upcoming shows in November and December and will start writing their new record in January/ February 2010. We hope to get into the studio sometime in February and March. We will be looking at a release date sometime in the late spring possibly early summer of 2010!”

Plead the Fifth (2010-2011)After a brief period without a record label, Taproot signed with Victory Records. On April 1, 2010, at midnight, the band released the lead single for their upcoming album. The song was “Fractured (Everything I Said Was True)”. A video for the song followed the release soon after debuting on the band’s YouTube channel on April 16. Soon after, the band released their fifth studio album Plead The Fifth.

Taproot supported Plead the Fifth with a headlining run in the summer of 2010 with support from Ice Nine Kills and label mates Destrophy.

On September 14, 2011 Taproot announced they are preparing to record their sixth studio album in fall 2011. They will once again be working with producer Tim Patalan and will be recording at The Loft Studios in Saline, Michigan. On December 15, the band announced that the album was recorded and should be released in spring 2012. On January 8, 2012, the band’s official website was closed and re-launched as a brand new one on February 7, 2012. In addition to the new site, the band also revealed that The Episodes will be released on April 10, 2012. Every Tuesday, Taproot offers a video about their upcoming album. On March 2, 2012, Taproot released the first single of the album: No Surrender. On Amazon, all the song titles were revealed: Good Morning, No Surrender, Lost Boy, Memorial Park, The Evelasting, Around The Bend, A Kiss From The Sky, Strange & Fascinating, A Golden Grey & We Don’t Belong Here.

On April 9th, 2012 they were interviewed by Freak & performed live on WYKT-105.5fm The Kat from Freakster’s Roadhouse in Wilmington Illinois. The 3-song set featured “No Surrender” which was the first time it was played live before a crowd.

The Craig Campbell voice is straight-forward and powerful. The songs are down-to-earth portraits of real people from the American heartland. The sound is traditional, unapologetic country.

Craig Campbell is a proud reminder of one of country’s strongest creative periods, building on the early-’90s legacy established by some of the genre’s most successful figures: Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Clint Black and Travis Tritt.

The Georgia-bred Campbell was introduced with a five-song EP that landed in the Top 20 on iTunes. His self-titled debut album expands on the central themes of his life—family, friends, purpose and self-determination—with a bundle of self-written songs, all delivered with the force and conviction of someone who’s lived every sentiment in every word.

"I have to believe every one of my songs," Campbell says matter-of-factly.

It’s a simple premise learned through years of touring at the club level, writing songs in Nashville and playing the bars on Lower Broadway in Music City. Campbell honed his craft in bands backing Luke Bryan and Tracy Byrd, on stages where he covered Alabama and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and at an annual hometown talent contest where he won twice and eventually became the leader of the house band for other contestants.

Craig Campbell’s abilities stood out, as Nashville decision-makers discovered. In fact, he became the subject of a moderate competition. He received an offer from one of Nashville’s major labels, but he was more intrigued by interest from songwriter-producer Keith Stegall—known for his work with Alan Jackson and Zac Brown Band. Introduced to Stegall through radio promotion executive Michael Powers, Campbell turned down the other offer to wait while Stegall and several other industry veterans developed Bigger Picture Group, an innovative artist-development company.

Once Bigger Picture was in place, Campbell headed into the studio to work on his first project, founded on his big, commanding voice and centrist-country songwriting. "When I Get It" puts a defiant spin on a tough economy, "I Bought It" revolves around sweet revenge and "My Little Cowboy" incorporates a multi-generational storyline and a Haggard-esque instrumental hook into a Southern-rock framework. "Fish" puts a bawdy spin on romance, but—in sensitive-daddy fashion, does so in a manner that’s safe for the kids to hear.

"Family Man," set up by a sonic comma in its first reference—"It’s family, man"—brought Campbell quickly onto the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Still, the singer and his associates plan to go way past one single or album.

"The one word Keith has used a lot with me is iconic," Campbell notes. "He says, ‘We don’t want to do a one-song project, we’re gonna shoot for 20 years.’"

Campbell’s assault on a two-decade career was in development for years before he made the conscious decision to pursue it. He was born and raised in Lyons, Ga., a town of about 4,000 people half-way between Macon and Savannah, a geographical hot spot that’s produced such peers as Jason Aldean, Billy Currington and Lady Antebellum.

Campbell grew up one of five children in a blended family. His parents divorced when he was extremely young, leaving his oldest sister—11 years his elder—to tend to the siblings while his mom worked multiple jobs to keep food on the table. He saw his biological father every other weekend until his dad died, when Craig was 11 years old, leaving little impact on his son’s memory.

"The older I get," Campbell says, "the more I realize didn’t know him."

The man Campbell called dad married his mom when Craig was six. He provided structure, a sense of right and wrong, and a daily model of what an adult man could be.

"In all honesty," Craig says, "my life began when my mama married my stepdad."

The family studiously attended the Baptist church—twice on Sundays and again on Wednesday nights—which became an important training ground for Craig’s musical education. He played piano for the congregation from age 10 until he turned 18, and Campbell learned harmony from listening to his mom sing from the hymn book.

"I’d stand beside her and try to mimic what she was doing," he recalls. "In a Baptist church, you have to learn how to sing harmony because the song was not always in your key, so you gotta find somewhere to go with it."

The house was filled with the sound of gospel groups—the Cathedrals, the Inspirations, the Kingsmen, the McKameys—and the from-the-gut approach of those acts resonates in Campbell’s delivery today.

But he gravitated even more to country music, magnetized by the quality of performers during one of the genre’s golden radio eras. He’s drawn comparisons to Alan Jackson—understandable since they’re both Georgian singers with a similar range and accent. But it was Travis Tritt, embodied with a fierce vocal style similarly informed by gospel singers, who most influenced Campbell.

He put that influence to work at age 15 when his sister Lynn, nine years his senior, pushed him to enter the Jimmy Dean/True Value Country Showdown. She served as an unpaid manager and A&R person, enrolling him in the competition, helping him decide on his stagewear and picking out two then-current songs that would show off his skills well: Tritt’s "Foolish Pride" and John Michael Montgomery’s "Be My Baby Tonight." Campbell finished first among the 22 contestants at Kerrigan’s bar, got his picture in the local paper—The Vidalia Advance—and was instantly hooked on performing.

"I wanted to be on stage for sure," Campbell recalls. "The crowd response is what drove it. Nothin’ better than to hear somebody applaud."

It gave him a vocational direction, though his sense of purpose was tested just months later when Lynn died from injuries in a car accident.

"It was rough," he reflects. "We were pretty good buddies, you know, and she had a 6-year-old little girl, too, which was the worst part about it. I don’t think I cried up until we told her daughter her mommy wasn’t comin’ home."

It took months for Craig to regain his footing emotionally—with the encouragement Lynn had planted in his psyche, he used music as a grounding mechanism. And he continued to enroll in the Showdown. He won one more year, and—after a two-year stint as a corrections officer in the Georgia State prison system—he put together Out Of The Blue, the house band at Kerrigan’s.

With assistance from the club owner, he made some connections with a couple of booking agents and the band started touring small venues five and six nights a week with the travel extending as far as Wyoming and Elko, Nevada. The band once drove itself the entire 1,800-mile trip from Florida to North Dakota, stopping only to change drivers or fill the tank. It was a grueling schedule, but it also gave Campbell first-hand knowledge of how to fill out a setlist and win over an audience.

"You can go anywhere and play Lynyrd Skynyrd, you can go anywhere and play Hank Williams Jr.," he shrugs. "There’s certain songs—’Friends In Low Places,’ ‘Dixieland Delight,’ ‘Sweet Home Alabama,’ ‘Margaritaville,’ ‘Brown Eyed Girl’—it don’t matter where you are. You’ll get a response."

In 2002, one of his friends called from Nashville. The friend was getting divorced and wanted to know if Campbell would move up and share an apartment.

"Shoot, yeah," Craig responded. "If you can get me a job, I’m there."

In short order, Campbell had an interview for a maintenance position at the Belle Valley Apartments in the Bellevue neighborhood. Within a week, he’d moved all his belongings to Tennessee, where he was within reaching distance of a music career.

Campbell wasted no time. He ingrained himself in the club scene and picked up a gig when he met another musician at Douglas Corner, the same venue where Trisha Yearwood had once secured her first recording deal. When Campbell told the musician that he played piano, he got an offer to fill in on a Saturday night at The Stage, one of the largest clubs on historic Lower Broadway. Not only did Campbell accept the job, he aced it.

"Halfway through the gig, he asked me do I want the gig fulltime?" Campbell remembers. "I said, ‘Absolutely.’ So I started working five and six nights a week then. On top of my job. I was bankin’!"

He quickly became ingrained in the Nashville music community, meeting fellow Georgian Luke Bryan. Bryan, in turn, introduced Campbell to songwriter Jon Mabe ("The Climb"), who brought Craig in to sing on a demo session for his wife, songwriter Connie Harrington ("Girls Lie Too"). That led to a ton of work as Campbell became one of the in-demand singers on Nashville’s underground demo circuit.

Bryan, who hadn’t yet signed with Capitol Records, also advised Campbell to write his own songs. If he could sing and write, he’d be more valuable. And he’d have an identity of his own.

"At first it was a job," Campbell admits. "I wasn’t used to it, but then I started writing songs that I thought were kind of cool and I’d play ‘em live and people would applaud, and then it started getting to where people were requestin’ ‘em. It takes on a completely different meaning whenever you can stand up and say, ‘Here’s a song I wrote.’ As opposed to, ‘Here’s a song I like.’"

In the middle of it all, Campbell started seeing a singer, Mindy Ellis, he’d known even before he moved to Nashville. There’d always been chemistry between them, but she was already seeing someone else. Months after she broke off a relationship, he got a call from Mindy while waiting at the Country Music Hall of Fame to audition for Nashville Star. She wanted to hang out; he couldn’t leave.

"She said, ‘Well, I have a van that has a TV and a VCR. I’ll just come to you and we’ll watch a movie.’ So she came down and we plugged in Face/Off, with John Travolta and Nicolas Cage, and we watched it. We’ve been together ever since."

He started playing piano in her band, and that led to another valuable gig: One of her friends got him a job for 15 months touring with Tracy Byrd’s band, giving Campbell his first opportunity to play mid-sized venues.

During his tenure with Byrd, Campbell married Mindy and started a family, which now includes two daughters, Preslee and Kinni.

He eventually scored a weekly performance slot at The Stage, where his band consisted of musicians who also played with Big & Rich, Chris Young, Mark Chesnutt and Joe Diffie. One of the bartenders, Kim Trosdahl, talked Campbell up to her significant other, Bigger Picture Group’s Michael Powers, who was won over by the singer’s obvious skills.

Powers brought Keith Stegall down to the club in August 2008, and from there, it was simply a waiting game before Bigger Picture had everything in place to get Campbell recorded and bring him to a wider audience.

The company introduced him with the 2010 single "Family Man," a song that incorporates the centerpiece of his life, the source of his emotional strength and the reason he wakes up in the morning.

Now his debut album blends Campbell’s masculine, no-nonsense vocal style with solid, salt-of-the-earth songs about America’s working class and a classic sense of wordplay. It’s a timeless sound, one that links him directly to Travis Tritt and Alan Jackson, who likewise built their style on such predecessors as George Jones and Hank Williams Jr.

Craig Campbell home site.

"It’s traditional, back-to-basics, true country music," Craig Campbell says. "It’s what I am. I can’t be anything else."

Known for his diverse vocal abilities, the songs Bo Bice is writing these days have put him in a new spot musically.

"My next record will continue to reflect my love of my country, my family’ my faith and the emotional journey I’m on," Bo Bice said during a recent interview from a recording studio behind his home that he shares with his wife and three young children. "I moved my family to Nashville six years ago and that change is now reflected in my music."

"I’ve always been a family man," Bo Bice continued’ referencing his feelings for his mother’ a gospel singer who infused him with a love of music at an early age. "My mom remarried and moved our family to England when I was just a kid. But before I finished school, I knew I wanted to be in a band and I returned to Alabama to continue that process."

It was a hard decision to leave his mom in England, and he addressed it in "You Take Yourself With You," (a song that charted in the Top 20 on GAC’s Video Countdown) from his 2010 release, 3. "D. Scott Miller and I wrote that song when we were just sitting and talking about the first time you leave home," Bo Bice said. "He’s older than me, but everyone has that same feeling when they take off."

The album 3 was Bice’s first brush with the Nashville community, and all its songs were written or co-written by Bice, with production credits by Bice and D. Scott Miller (who’s worked on hits by Trace Adkins, Patty Loveless and Asleep at the Wheel, among others).

"I’m really digging the Nashville scene and where it’s taking me musically," he said. "It’s a little different than what I was doing on previous albums, but Nashville represents many of the things that are important to me these days." After a few health scares stemming from life on the road, Bice has changed his lifestyle and enjoyed a clean bill of health for three years. "I’m more into being a good husband and father, and giving back to others, rather than just doing what feels good at the time," he said.

Now, instead of chasing wild times, Bice spends time helping fellow motorcycle enthusiasts raise money for medical research or supporting the military and their families. "I have a lot of respect for the troops and want to do all I can to create awareness of their needs, and support their families."

Backing up that claim, Bice found time to perform overseas for the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. "You hear and see first-hand some of the devastating stories, but you also witness the blessing that these men and women are fighting for us," he said. "I just hope I’m lifting them up somehow." (Bice suggests checking out www.bobice.com to see how you can contribute). More recently, Bice arranged for all of his proceeds from the song "Long Road Back" to benefit those affected by the 2010 Nashville floods. He also won $50,000 on a special celebrity edition of VH1′s "Don’t Forget The Lyrics," with proceeds being donated to the NARAS charity organization MusiCares, for use in its recovery efforts. Bice was the first celebrity contestant in the history of the show to win the grand prize.

Bice’s career began to take shape when he worked the Southern club circuit in a number of bands, including Blue Suede Nickel, Purge and Sugar Money. Although the groups made some in-roads, his initial claim to fame came in 2005, when he finished 2nd to Carrie Underwood on FOX television’s American Idol.

Bo Bice’ first release following that show, The Real Thing, yielded the chart-topping single "Inside Your Heaven" and helped Bice attain the first of his two gold record awards. Bo Bice will steal your heart and rock the rafters at the same time!

Bo Bice coming to Hagerstown for the Labor Day weekend Concert!

REBEL INC. is an intense blend of metal, punk, hip-hop, and alternative rock music, formed on the outskirts of Detroit, MI, now residing in Baltimore, MD. rebel inc. is an intense rock band formed on the outskirts of Detroit, MI, now residing in Baltimore, MD. The original members, Kevin(guitar) and Adam(vocals), relocated with another Detroiter, Brian(drums), and found their bass sound in Benny, an Iowa native who also moved to the Charm City. They are known for their raw, passionate, and explosive stage presence, powerful guitar rhythms, and thought provoking social and political lyrics. These characteristics put them in the realm of bands such as Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, Korn, Rob Zombie, TOOL, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, and groups of this sort. Their sound also bridges the gaps to Rise Against, Anti-Flag, Metallica, Hollywood Undead, Three Days Grace, Five Finger Death Punch, and Breaking Benjamin.

Their self-released debut EP has had every song played on terrestrial radio on more than 40 stations in the USA, as well as Canada, Australia, UK, Germany and Italy. It has rave reviews across the globe, from many radio DJ’s, and magazines, including Germany and Italy. In fact, HELLO MUSIC says REBEL INC. is “On the cusp of greatness!” and Kendra Beltran from Bryan Farrish Radio Promotion says, “They would fair well with the commercial crowd at the Van’s Warped Tour, the metal heads at Ozzfest, and the eclectic crowd at Coachella.” Wisconsin radio DJ Gary Schmaltz calls the album “A national treasure.” REBEL INC.’s music was added to the PANDORA RADIO library in the winter of 2011. The sophomore album is in the works to be released in the spring of 2012, and the first 4 singles released have already received radio play.

The group toured US military bases under the sponsorship of Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) in 2008, who also sponsored Rage Against the Machine for a stop on the same tour, in Denver, CO (Democratic National Convention).

Rebel inc.’s latest recording "Killin’ The Future" is being placed on a compilation album with Tom Morello, Rise Against, Anti-Flag, Ryan Harvey, and many more great artists to benefit the Civilian-Soldier Alliance. The album, "A Soundtrack For Refusal," came out in June 2010.

More Rebel Inc Just For You

REBEL INC. joined some elite names as their song, "Killin’ The Future," has been released on the compilation album "A Soundtrack For Refusal" with Tom Morello, Rise Against, Anti-Flag, Strike Anywhere, Jim Page, Ryan Harvey, and many more great artists to benefit the Civilian-Soldier Alliance. The band has also had songs placed in a few films, and has provided support for national artists such as Seether(sold out), Fuel, Anti-Flag, Cold, Kottonmouth Kings, Otep, Hed PE, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus(sold out), Psychostick, Green Jelly, and Nashville Pussy.

REBEL INC. is currently unsigned, and touring as much as possible through the mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and along the east coast on their own dollar. The response has been extremely positive in every city along the tour route, and the fans are increasing rapidly. Radio DJ’s, venue owners, production managers, booking agents, music reviewers, sound engineers, and most importantly, THE LISTENERS, have given the band great feedback on the live show as well as the album. The band played it’s largest show at the 2011 Seattle Hempfest in August, with the Kottonmouth Kings and over 100,000 people in attendance.

In order to truly EXPERIENCE this band, you must see them LIVE. Rebel Inc. is a must see live act, for their recordings do not capture the band’s true sound and their ability to transfer their passion into the crowd with their explosive stage presence.

The following paragraph is the opinion of the album by Kendra Beltran of Bryan Farrish Radio Promotion.

"Rebel Inc.’s self-titled, Rebel Inc., is high energy and not to be taken lightly. Their sound is much like that of Rage Against The Machine; a mix of heavy instrumentation paired with anti-political inspired lyrics. Rebel Inc. has an intense beat to their music that would make their audience breakout into a mosh pit instantaneously. They would fair well with the commercial crowd at the Van’s Warped Tour, pulling the same crowd as Anti-Flag. However, because of their Rage Against The Machine essence, their style would play well with the crowds of metal heads at Ozzfest and the eclectic crowd at Coachella. Their music is versatile and has a mass appeal to anyone and everyone that has a stand to take on political issues musically."

Rebel Inc. will rock you all the way Home! Go Rebel Inc!

Social Media Warning (Divulgence of Personal & Private Information)
Social media has provided a platform for internet users to disclose much personal information about themselves, in a way that seems innocuous, if not proper and expected. However, more than a few folks have already lived to regret personal information that was shared either by them or others. This has long been true of simple email. It is exponentially true of social websites and applications for social media on any other website, including this one. You are cautioned against carelessly disclosing information.

3. Indemnification.

6.Hiring an Investment Advisor, Attorney, or Medical or Other Professional / No Attorney-Client Relationship or Fiduciary Capacity.
Choosing a lawyer, doctor, or investment advisor is a serious matter and should NOT be based solely on data contained on our website or in advertisements.

The law is constantly changing and the data may not be complete or accurate depending on your particular legal issue. Each legal issue depends on its individual facts and different jurisdictions have different laws and regulations. This is why you should seriously consider hiring licensed, professional counsel in your jurisdiction.

Medical issues are complex, and can often stem from both organic and psychological factors. Never should a website be used as a source of diagnosing or treating medical problems.

Financial matters are highly individualistic. Risk tolerance is just one factor to consider before making any investments or financial decisions. For these, and other, reasons, you should look to the guidance of a trained professional, not a website.

You may send us email, but in no instance will this communication in any way be construed as initiating an attorney-client relationship, or other professional relationship, and so the contact should not include confidential or sensitive data because your communication will not be treated as privileged or confidential.

7.Miscellaneous.

Governing Law
This Agreement shall treated as though executed, set in force, and performed in the State of Maryland. Accordingly, it shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Maryland in terms of those applicable to agreements, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Disputes
Any cause of action by you with respect to our www.breakaway2.com website must be instituted within one (1) year after the cause of action arose or be forever waived and barred. All actions shall be subject to the limitations set forth in these Terms of Service and Conditions of Use. Any legal claim arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service and Conditions of Use or our website, excluding intellectual property right infringement and other claims by us, shall be settled confidentially through mandatory binding arbitration per the American Arbitration Association commercial arbitration rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in Maryland. Each party shall bear one half of the arbitration fees and costs incurred, and each party shall bear its own lawyer fees. All claims shall be arbitrated on an individual basis, and shall not be consolidated in any arbitration with any claim or controversy of any other party.

Modification
Neither the course of conduct between the parties nor industry trade practice shall act to modify any provision of this Agreement.

Assignability
Our website may assign its rights and duties under this Agreement to any party at any time without notice to you.

Contra Preferentum
The language in these Terms of Service and Conditions of Use shall be interpreted as to its fair meaning and not strictly for or against any party. Any rule of construction to the effect that ambiguities are to be resolved against the drafting party (i.e. – “contra preferentum”) shall not apply in interpreting these Terms of Service and Conditions of Use, as the Agreement shall be construed as having been co-authored by the parties.

Severability
Should any part of these Terms of Service and Conditions of Use be held invalid or unenforceable, that portion shall be construed as much as possible consistent with applicable law and severability shall apply to the remaining portions, so that they remain in full force and effect.

This Agreement Prevails
To the extent that anything in or associated with our website is in conflict or inconsistent with these Terms of Service and Conditions of Use, these Terms of Service and Conditions of Use shall take precedence.

Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms of Service and Conditions of Use shall not be deemed a waiver of the provision nor of the right to enforce the provision.

Privacy Policy

The following describes the Privacy Policy for our www.breakaway2.com website.

Your Privacy
Your privacy is important to us at Break Away II Sports Lounge. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. You agree to agree to these policies by virtue of using our website in a way that leads to you providing us with personal information.

State Law & Accompanying Rights
Please understand that you may have additional rights originating from State laws based on where you live. These State-based rights may augment, strengthen, or otherwise somehow compliment any privacy rights you have inherently or under Federal law. Our policy is to comply fully with the privacy policies of every jurisdiction in which we operate. Accordingly, you are free to use our Contact information to reach us at any time to assert any State rights.

Our Commitment To Children’s Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, our website will never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 18, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 18.

Under our Terms of Service and Conditions of Use, children under 18 are not allowed to use our website and access our services. It is not our intention to offer products or services to minors.

Collection of Personal Information
When visiting our website, the IP address used to access our website may be logged along with the dates and times of access. This information is purely used to analyze trends, administer our website, track users movement, and gather broad demographic information for internal use such as statistical assessments and website improvement. Most importantly, any recorded IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Other information may be collected as well by Break Away II Sports Lounge, which is rather typical of most websites. For instance, the source that referred you to our website is generally known. Likewise, your duration on our website, and your destination when you leave our website can also be tracked. Other common data collected includes the type of operating system the computer you are using to access our website has.
Similarly, the type of web browser is often noted. Again, this is common data collection, and helps ultimately produce a better end-user experience.

Cookies are another common internet practice. Cookies are a key means of improving user experience by allows us to customize your use of our website. Simple information is transferred to your computer to allow the content and experience at www.breakaway2.com to reflect your actions, preferences, and so on. You should simply make the assumption our website uses cookies, and note that you are free to make adjustments in your web browser to disable these or otherwise receive notification of cookies so you can take whatever desired action you so choose. Please understand that refusing cookies may cripple some of our website features and render some aspects useless to you.

At times, you will be fully aware of information received, as you are the direct source providing it. For instance, you may comment on a blog post, reply to an email (whether broadcast message or autoresponder), provide an email address, complete a survey, requests SMS, or otherwise. Likewise, purchases necessarily involve collecting certain information, such as credit card information, PayPal addresses, your physical address for billing and/or shipping, phone number, and so on. Refusing to provide some of this information may lead to us being unable to provide you with the products or services you’ve requested.

A prime example of limited access to our website is where some www.breakaway2.com content may be protected by a username and password. Whether a username and password is generated by our website, or created by you, these will almost always be connected with some other information related to or connected with you. This is true since much content that is protected on the internet is subscription based, often paid for. Thus, the username and password must necessarily be tied to your other account data. Usernames and passwords, by their very nature, should be kept private.

Handling of Personal Information
Note that any personal information you provide to others apart from us or our vendors is wholly optional. As an example, you might disclose something in a blog post comment. That “private” information is now “public,” and we have no control over that. In like fashion, you sharing information with any other third party not functioning as a service provider to us puts that information beyond our control and becomes subject to the policy that party has in place.

Our primary intention for collecting personal and private information from you is simply to conduct our business. We can use this internally to better serve you. Accordingly, we see no reason to share your personal information to other parties and outside interests unless you have authorized us to do so. Of course, there are instances where your information is stored with third party service providers, such as email service providers, as they provide services that are industry-leading in quality and security and are far more beneficial to our end user than attempting such services “in-house.” However, you are never required to deal with any such third party directly, they are limited in how they use your information, and they cannot sell or transfer it to others in any way.

However, of course, your information does comprise part of an overall whole. This aggregate of information, by contrast, may be used to understand our overall user base. Further, we may share this information about our website visitors as a whole, not individually, with third parties for various purposes, in our sole discretion.

While we are staunch privacy advocates at Break Away II Sports Lounge, there are times when even we may be forced to abandon these ideals. Just as major search engines face ongoing compulsion to provide data against their will, so too may the same occur with our www.breakaway2.com website. Illegal activity or other serious acts or allegations could create legal liability for our website. In those cases, we reserve the right to share your information, or else may simply be compelled to do so by law. On the other hand, there may be times when we would need to share your private information in order to protect our own interests. For instance, in cases of suspected or alleged copyright infringement or other intellectual property violations, it may be necessary to share personal information.

Google Adsense and the DoubleClick DART Cookie
Google, as a third party advertisement vendor, may use cookies to serve ads on this www.breakaway2.com website. The use of DART cookies by Google enables them to serve adverts to visitors that are based on their visits to this website, including past visits, as well as other websites on the internet.

To opt out of the DART cookies you may visit the Google ad and content network privacy policy at the following url http://www.google.com/privacy_ads.html Tracking of users through the DART cookie mechanisms are subject to Google’s own privacy policies.

Other Third Party ad servers or ad networks may also use cookies to track users activities on this website to measure advertisement effectiveness and other reasons that will be provided in their own privacy policies, our website has no access or control over these cookies that may be used by third party advertisers. However, you can opt out of some, though likely not all, of these cookies in one easy location at http://ww.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp

Links to Third Party Websites
We have included links on this website for your use and reference. We are not responsible for the privacy policies on these websites. You should be aware that the privacy policies of these websites may differ from our own.

CHANGE NOTICE: As with any of our administrative and legal notice pages, the contents of this page can and will change over time. Accordingly, this page could read differently as of your very next visit. These changes are necessitated, and carried out by Break Away II Sports Lounge, in order to protect you and our www.breakaway2.com website.
