Torn Band Music is Alternative

Torn is a hard rock and alternative band based out of the Mechanicsburg, PA area. Formed in April of 2009, Torn has been hard at work perfecting their song selection to give the music scene in this area something that it is lacking. After snagging Dusty Witherspoons for vocals as the final member of the band, the pieces began to fall into place and Torn is already being recognized as a heavy force. Dusty Witherspoons has been playing guitar for 10 years and singing all his life, and is the former lead vocalist for the classic rock band "Heavy Burden", with which he got his first feel for the stage and burst onto the scene. After spending 9 months with them, the band went their separate ways and Dusty
is now performing as a solo acoustic act, known ironically as Witherspoons. He performs a wide array of covers and provides a unique opening act for a variety of different bands in the area.
